Online Learning on African Archaeology and Heritage

MOOC African Archaeology and Heritage

A MOOC (massive open online course) is a course of study made available over the internet without charge to a very large number of people.

The MOOC African Archaeology and Heritage is the flagship training initiative of the ONLAAH – Online Learning on African Archaeology and Heritage project, designed to address the need for accessible, rigorous, and up-to-date educational resources in the field of African archaeology and heritage management. The course explores the geographical, cultural, and chronological diversity of Africa, introducing key concepts of African archaeology, research methods, conservation practices, and cultural heritage management models. It places strong emphasis on participatory approaches, research ethics, and sustainable development.
